How to Achieve a Flawless, Water-Tight Joint Seal
To get the longest life out of your new tile joints, follow this sequence used by professional tiling contractors:
Step 1: The Deep Channel Clearout
Take the steel joint hook and pull it firmly along the tile channels. Do not skip or rush—make sure you are clearing away at least 3-5mm of depth so your new epoxy or silicone has enough vertical wall space to grab onto.
Step 2: Flush Surface Shaving
Keep the wide yellow scraper flat against the tile surface (at roughly a 15-degree angle). Slide it forward to pop off old caulk scales and leftover film. A clean tile surface ensures your tape or new grout lines stay completely straight.
Step 3: The Compressing Roll
After injecting your fresh beauty grout or sealant, select the metal ball size that slightly overlaps your tile edges. Roll it smoothly in one continuous motion. This packs the material deep into the joint, eliminates hidden air bubbles, and shapes a flawless, easy-to-wipe curve.
